The short version: the Plumb app collects nothing. Your writing stays on your Mac. This website counts anonymous page visits.

The app

Plumb checks your writing with an AI model that runs on your Mac. Your notes are plain files stored on your Mac. They are never uploaded, and Plumb has no account, no analytics and no ads.

The only time Plumb uses the internet is to download its AI models from GitHub, once each: the writing model the first time you open Plumb, and the voice model the first time you click Speak. Like any download, GitHub sees your IP address when that happens; see GitHub's privacy statement.

When it opens, Plumb also asks GitHub whether a newer version exists (one small request, with nothing about you or your notes). You can turn this off in Settings, under Updates.

If you use Speak, speech recognition (Whisper) also runs on your Mac. Plumb only listens while you have Speak turned on, and your voice is never recorded to disk or sent anywhere.

This website

This website uses no cookies. It uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits (which pages are viewed, the referring site, and country, browser and device type) without cookies and without identifying you. It is hosted on Vercel, which, like any web host, processes basic request data such as IP addresses to serve pages. The install command downloads the app from GitHub, which hosts it and counts downloads.
